Field trip at the ice rink

Ryder did a pretty good job ice skating by himself. At first he hung on the wall but eventually he got up the nerve to skate without holding on. I wasn't able to skate with him, Ashtyn was with us, but with all of his friends and their parents from school there too, he was just fine without me. Here he is with his teacher, Mrs. Ramich, (she was a really good skater!).

Hillbilly

Chase lost another tooth tonight! Now he thinks he looks like a hillbilly. It certainly looks strange, I hope his new teeth come in soon!

The Littlest Firefighters

They're ready to go! Ryder asked about every little part of the Aid Car and Fire Engine, he was very interested! Future Firefighter? If you ask him what he's going to be when he grows up he says, "a Firefighter just like my dad!"

The Tiny Dancer

Thanks to Lena for the cute leotard, she is all decked out for her dance class. She looks like such a big girl, too big. I can't believe that she is almost 2. Brian and I are so proud of her, definitely our little princess!

Mommy and Me Dance Class

Ashtyn didn't take to the class right away, I had to hold her for about half of the class. But eventually she started participating and as you can see had a lot of fun. Our friends Annie, Ellie and Lena were there too and all in all everyone had a great time, can't wait for next week!

Say Cheesy

Cheesy Smile #1

We went to the Zoo today, we received a membership for Christmas and it wasn't raining so off we went! Chase unfortunately was with his dad today so it was just the 4 of us. Ryder and especially Ashtyn have apparently been practicing their cheesy smiles...

Cheesy Smile #2

Cheesy Smile #3

Cheesy Smile #4

OK, this one isn't so cheesy. Because the weather wasn't hot or rainy most of the animals were out. I think this is the first time I've actually seen the lion in his habitat. There was a female lion out too, but not as impressive as the male. It was fun seeing all of the animals and the kids were able to run around and get out some of that endless energy.

Living The Fairy Tale

My Dad has found some of my old books and so occasionally he gives them to the kids. There is no question they are my books because I made sure to write my name in all of them. So Ashtyn received Cinderella from my Dad a couple of months ago and tonight we were reading it together. When we got to the end, Ashtyn pointed to Cinderella and said, "Mommy!", then to the Prince and said, "Daddy!". I think that she is our favorite of the children, (wink-wink).
