Chase is home!

Chase just got home tonight from being in Florida for a week with his dad. Oh, how we missed him when he was gone! After getting ready for bed they all got into bed together for a snuggle, so cute! It didn't take long for the sibling rivalry to resume but it was very sweet while it lasted.

Welcome Cousin Scout!

Here she is, little Scout, the newest addition to the family. She's only 2 days old! Tate and Scout are just 11 weeks apart. Hard to believe that Tate was once so little, he now looks so big next to her.

Tate's First Major League Game!

Tate's first Seattle Mariner game and they are playing the Braves! He slept through most of the game but managed to wear his Braves hat. Chase and Brian were also rooting for their beloved Atlanta Braves. Ryder, Ashtyn and Papa cheered for the home team and when the Mariner's were losing late in the game Ryder joined in with his "rally cap". The Braves won and also won the next two games! The kids and I bought tickets for daddy and papa for a late father's day outing. I swear that Papa Kent was with us, sorry dad for not getting a picture!

On the Drill Team

At the Strawberry Festival parade we saw a few drill teams perform. I wondered at the time if Ashtyn would pretend to be on the drill team. About a week later, here she is with her boots on marching, moving her arms and pretending to lead the drill team with her whistle.

Oh the funny things they say...

Ashtyn and I were out picking up a pizza for the kids and Nana, she asked me why we were just getting one pizza. I told her that mommy and daddy were not eating with everyone, we were going out for dinner and her and the boys would be staying with Nana. She says, "are you and daddy going on a date?" (I had no idea that she knew what a date was!) and then says, "do you like daddy?" I say yes I like him and I love him too! She finally says, "I love daddy too!"

While sitting at Starbucks enjoying a cup of coffee, Ryder sees a police car and says, "I wouldn't want to go to jubie." 11/25/2010

Last night Ashtyn's playing dress up, princess skirt and Superman cape, "flying" through the playroom yelling, "Super Ashy!" I say let's go show daddy and she says, "no Mom, Super Ashy tired!" I'm sure Superman himself would agree that being a super hero is exhausting. 10/05/2010

The M.I.T. (Mommy In Training):
Ashtyn walks into the room with her toy cell phone and I ask her who she is talking to? She puts her finger up in the air and says, "minute, talking", then back to her phone call she says, "lo?" (hello)

We're driving in the car and Ashtyn asks me for her baby and I told her that we left her at home and she lays her head back against her car seat and looks away and says, "oh man!", with such disappointment.
Age 2

Chase told me that when he gets older, (21 to be exact), he is going to move out and take Ryder with him. They are going to live together and Chase is going to take care of Ryder. They'll come visit us, of course and we can come over to their place sometimes. And then when Ashtyn is 21, she can go live with them too! I think that he may re-think this plan one day, but very sweet that he wants to be independent, yet stay close to home with his brother and sister as roommates.

So Brian says to Ryder, "You are so awesome!" and Ryder replies, "yeah, you should see me when I'm sleeping."
