Fun on the Farm

Today we went on a local farm tour. This is one of the farms we visited. They had a few farm animals including a really smart goat.

Next on the tour is the Lavender Festival, the kids had lavender ice cream and we got some freshly cut lavender from their lavender field.

The boys have never been fishing before, and judging by their short attention span I'm not sure if we will fish anytime soon. While it lasted they had fun, Ryder stuck with it a bit longer and with the help of Papa and Neil he was able to catch a fish! I was able to get a picture before they threw it back into the lake and it swam away.

Oh the funny things they say...

Ashtyn and I were out picking up a pizza for the kids and Nana, she asked me why we were just getting one pizza. I told her that mommy and daddy were not eating with everyone, we were going out for dinner and her and the boys would be staying with Nana. She says, "are you and daddy going on a date?" (I had no idea that she knew what a date was!) and then says, "do you like daddy?" I say yes I like him and I love him too! She finally says, "I love daddy too!"

While sitting at Starbucks enjoying a cup of coffee, Ryder sees a police car and says, "I wouldn't want to go to jubie." 11/25/2010

Last night Ashtyn's playing dress up, princess skirt and Superman cape, "flying" through the playroom yelling, "Super Ashy!" I say let's go show daddy and she says, "no Mom, Super Ashy tired!" I'm sure Superman himself would agree that being a super hero is exhausting. 10/05/2010

The M.I.T. (Mommy In Training):
Ashtyn walks into the room with her toy cell phone and I ask her who she is talking to? She puts her finger up in the air and says, "minute, talking", then back to her phone call she says, "lo?" (hello)
Age 2

We're driving in the car and Ashtyn asks me for her baby and I told her that we left her at home and she lays her head back against her car seat and looks away and says, "oh man!", with such disappointment.
Age 2

Chase told me that when he gets older, (21 to be exact), he is going to move out and take Ryder with him. They are going to live together and Chase is going to take care of Ryder. They'll come visit us, of course and we can come over to their place sometimes. And then when Ashtyn is 21, she can go live with them too! I think that he may re-think this plan one day, but very sweet that he wants to be independent, yet stay close to home with his brother and sister as roommates.

So Brian says to Ryder, "You are so awesome!" and Ryder replies, "yeah, you should see me when I'm sleeping."
